Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur has been selected as the implementing agency for skilling and providing job placement to the unemployed youth of North Eastern States (Nagaland & Arunachal Pradesh) under Capacity Building & Technical Assistance Scheme sponsored by Ministry of DoNER.

The inaugural programme for the first batch of trainees was held at NTTC, Dimapur with Parliamentary Secretary for Industries & Commerce and NIDC, Amenba Yaden as the chief guest on Thursday.

Amenba encourages youths to take up manual works

Parliamentary secretary, Amenba Yaden while expressing concern over deteriorating work culture in Naga society has encouraged youths to take up manual works to decrease employment problem in Nagaland.

He was speaking at the inaugural function of capacity building scheme under Ministry of DoNER, government of India at Nagaland Tool Room and Training Centre (NTTC) Dimapur on Thursday.

Encouraging unemployed youths to opt for alternative profession than government jobs, he said “Nagas should replace non-locals who work at construction sites and other trades.”

Dimapur, January 7, 2016 (MExN): The Nagaland Tool-Room & Training Centre, Dimapur under Directorate of industries & Commerce, Kohima was established by the Government of Nagaland with the assistance of Government of India. It was formally inaugurated on August 9, 2006 by the then Minister Khekiho Zhimomi, Minister for Industries & Commerce, Sericulture and Border Affairs, offers Diploma in Tool & Die Making Course (recognized by AICTE, New Delhi) of duration four years (including one year apprenticeship in reputed companies).
