Modules of Facilities
Tool Room is an industrial set-up (common facility centre) where the specialized Tools, Dies, Moulds, Jigs, Fixture are designed and manufactured. These tools are used for mass production for all Plastic components, Aluminium or any casting parts from kitchen utensils to space components, automotive, agriculture & industrial components, etc.
State-of-the-art Production-cum-Training Centre with machines including Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing software (CAD/CAM), CNC Millings, CNC EDM, CNC WEDM, Jig Grinding, Injection Moulding Machines, Heat Treatment Units, conventional shop floor machines like drilling machines, surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, lathe machines, milling machines, welding machines, etc.
i)GENERAL MACHINE SHOP
General machine shop is housed with all types of conventional machines such as lathe, milling, drilling, grinding, shaper, etc along bench fitting tools.
ii) HI-TECH. MACHINE SHOP
Hi-tech. machine shop has been facilitating with CAD/CAM, CNC machines including non-conventional machines.
iii) PLASTIC PROCESSING
Plastic in general has changed our life and living. Plastic processing plant can be one of the easiest and important ways for “Dream-Come-True” for the self-employment both for male & female. One automatic injection moulding machine has been installed. Efforts are being made to install some more injection moulding machines for conducting training programmes.
iv) INSPECTION & TESTING CELL
There is an old adage that goes “If you cannot measure it you cannot improve it”. It is with this background NTTC has planned an inspection & testing cell, housing modern instruments and testing equipment like- Microscopes, Profile projector, Hardness testing machine, Vernier caliper, Vernier micrometer, Vernier height gauge, Bore gauge, etc.
v) HEAT-TREATMENT PLANT
Two heat-treatment furnaces have been installed for heat-treating of metal for operations like hardening, tempering, normalizing, annealing, etc.
vi) COMPUTER LAB
Computer Lab is housed with hardware like servers, workstations, P.Cs, plotter, printers, etc. It has also hi-end software for both design and machining.
vii) METAL FABRICATION SHOP
The shop is equipped with variety of transformers for electric welding besides MIG welding set. Also have full Gas welding & cutting sets along with hand tools for Sheet metals works and training.
viii) MARKETING CELL
One of the Centre’s objectives is to provide services to micro-small & medium industries. Keeping in view the above, Centre has planned a strong marketing cell which can be responsible for marketing of technical services, products, besides sponsorship courses. This cell is working in full I.T. environment to update information and to have world-wide business in tooling technology and manpower development.
ix) PLACEMENT CELL
With the emergence of the first batch of Diploma graduates from NTTC in the scene, the unit was set-up at the Institute headed by an Officer where all necessary records & biodata of diploma graduates are being kept with a view to cater needs of the job arrangement, campus interviews, and On the Job-Training (OJT).
x) TECHNOLOGICAL INCUBATION CELL:
Alongside the rich talents that are inherence in the local youth, the NTTC extend technical supports to help the ideas formation and nurture them into development to benefit the socio-economy of the society.
