• The NTTC have been conducting job-oriented 4 years Diploma in Tool & Die Making course (approved by AICTE, New Delhi) including one year apprenticeship/OJT in reputed companies since inception in 2006. The annual intake of 30 students was upgraded to 60 students from the session June-July 2011-12.
  • Diploma in Tool & Die Making course is equivalent to Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. The first 3 years is being conducted at NTTC, Dimapur and 1 year In-Plant Training in a reputed organization outside the State.
  • The eligibility for training requirement is Matriculation in an English medium schooling with at least 45% of marks in aggregate ( With compulsory  Maths & Science subjects) and must be within 16 to 19 years of age. (SC/ST candidates have relaxation of 5% marks and 3 yrs. in the upper age limit). Intake capacity is 60 students annually.

Fee Structure: 

Total Admission fee is Rs. 5000/- and Tuition fee Rs. 1750/- p.m. Hostel fee extra on actual expenditure.

Important Dates

Classes start every 15th July of the year.

Test & Interview Date – 3rd Week of May
Admission –  In the month of June every year

Separate hostels for boys and girls (200 seats for boys and 50 seats for girls). Hostel accommodation is compulsory for outstation students and optional for residents of Dimapur).

Stipendiary Support:   
  1. Rs. 500/- p.m. during the first three years or Rs. 600/- p.m.  NEC stipend for meritorious students of HSLC exam.
  2. Company allowances between Rs. 8,000/- to Rs.15,000/-      p.m. in the 4th year during On-the-Job-Training period.

Students of Diploma in Tool & Die Making are eligible for SBI Education Loan. (Loan upto Rs.4.00 lakh without any security or margin money. Repayment will commence one year after completion of course or 6 month after securing a job, whichever is earlier).

Provision of earning while learning for students on request.

100% placement assurance in privates/govt. sectors with starting salary of Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 30,000/-
